Product Review: Reusable Produce & Bulk Bags

I have been buying loads of produce and quite a lot of bulk items in the last year.  I HATE all the plastic bags that I have to use.  I cringe everytime I rip one off the roll and fill ‘er up.  I started doing a search for reusable bags and finally found Ficklefaerie on Etsy.com.    Her bags look great, they are handmade, and they price is very good.   She is in Canada but doesn’t charge extreme shipping cost.

My first order was for a set of of the larger mesh produce bags and I loved them so much that I orderd 2 more sets of her bags.  The second time around I bought the bulk bags and stretchable mesh bags.  I absolutely love the ribbon closures on her bags.  Many of the other bags I have seen require using the twist ties in the store and I didn’t want to have to deal with that.

These bags are pretty indestructable.  One went through the wash by mistake and looked chewed up when I got it out but once I got the towel lint off it, it was just like new.

I have been stopped in by numerous people asking where I got the bags.  Everyone that sees them loves them!

Final rating: ***** 5 stars!

  1. I have been looking for a good source for bags!

  2. Thanks for the write-up in your blog. Great story! be looking in my shop over the next month or 2 because I will be making more and more of the organic cotton mesh bags…..they are in the works in many new colors.

  3. These sound like a great product, I have just been saying to my kids that I have to remember to bring my cloth bags to the grocery store from now on. We have way way too many throw away plastic bags around.
